Jouissance

Natalie Marino

In the dark of night
I am a sea listening
to my own silver.
I turn into
a truth teller,
swimming naked
under summer stars.
I read beach stones
and watch weeds
in the sand
turn into mermaids. I
make my own joy
waiting for a pink flower
to dawn.
